Magee Rehabilitation Hospital Physicians Named Top Doctors
PHILADELPHIA, PA, May 20, 2014-Magee Rehabilitation Hospital physicians Barbara Browne, M.D., Guy Fried, M.D. and Christopher Formal, M.D. were recently recognized by their peers as three of the best physicians in physical medicine and rehabilitation. Dr. Browne was named a Top Doc in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation by Philadelphia Magazine, while Dr. Fried and Dr. Formal were named to the 2014 Best Doctors in America list.

Dr. Barbara Browne is the Medical Director of Magee Rehabilitation's Stroke and Geriatrics Program. She is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Physical Medicine, and is renowned as an expert in the areas of stroke, geriatrics and spinal cord injury rehabilitation. Dr. Browne has published abstracts in medical journals, and conducted numerous clinical lectures on stroke rehabilitation to both consumer and professional audiences. This is her fourth year as one of Philadelphia Magazine's Top Doctors.

Dr. Guy Fried is the Medical Director of Magee Rehabilitation's Spinal Cord Injury Unit and Outpatient Services. He is board certified in Physical Medicine Rehabilitation with further board certifications in Pain Medicine, Spinal Cord Injury Medicine, and Electro diagnostic Medicine.
Dr. Fried is a Professor, Clinical and Educational Scholarship Track of Rehabilitation Medicine, at Thomas Jefferson University.
Dr. Christopher Formal is the Assistant Medical Director for Educational Programs and the Residency Program Director at Magee Rehabilitation Hospital. He is an expert in spinal cord injury and has published numerous papers and abstracts. He is a Clinical Professor for the department of rehabilitation medicine at Jefferson Medical College. Dr. Formal is also a member of the Greater Philadelphia Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the American Academy of Physical Medicine&Rehabilitation, the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine and the Association of Academic Physiatrists.
