Thanks to the generosity of many donors (including $17,000 contributed by our own employees!), Magee is proud to be the only acute rehab hospital in our area offering Music Therapy. Please allow me to introduce our new Music Therapist, John Glaubitz!
John recently graduated with his Master of Arts Degree in Music Therapy and Counseling from Drexel University’s College of Nursing and Health Professions. He spent the past year providing Music Therapy services through a unique internship opportunity at The Louis Armstrong Center for Music and Medicine at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Hospital in New York. John has long been involved in music education and continues to teach private lessons in guitar, bass, piano, mandolin, ukulele, music theory, composition, songwriting, and basic recording. He has toured the eastern United States and California both as a performer and tour manager and brings a multitude of experience in performance, composition and sound design.
