In honor of National Nurses Week, we’ll be highlighting a new nurse every day this week. Today’s spotlight is on Lynn Gary, a nurse on our 3rd floor.
Lynn Gary, RN
Tell us a little about your background.
I graduated from Community College of Philadelphia (CCP), and am presently attending Wilmington University of Delaware. I have been a nurse for 20 years, and have been at Magee for 2.5 years.
Why did you decide to become a nurse?
I decided to become a nurse because I admired my sister’s experience as a nurse. I went to school, and have loved it ever since. No two days are the same!
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
The most rewarding part of my job is any progress that a patient makes, big or small. I also love when I am having a rough day and a patient gives a nice compliment.
What are some of your passions outside of your job?
Travelling and baking – I am a foodie! Also spending time with my family and friends.
