February is Rec Therapy Month, and Magee is lucky to have a team of dedicated and creative rec therapists on staff. Simply put, a recreational therapist uses activities people enjoy to help them get better. When a recent patient expressed interest in trying tie dye, Tracy Bognadoff, CTRS, swooped into action. Tracy led a tie dye activity for patients on the third and fifth floors. Family and friends joined in, too. Patients dyed their compression stockings, t-shirts, and even a baby onesie! Below is a slideshow of the patients and their projects, showing just one more way rec therapists are getting creative to help Magee patients reach their goals.
