On Monday, July 13, more than 20 supporters participated in our annual Tennis Event to benefit the patients at Magee. This year’s Tennis Event raised about $5,000 to support Magee’s Art Therapy Program. Attendees enjoyed some friendly tennis competition, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, and a silent auction at beautiful Germantown Cricket Club.
The event was a huge success thanks to all of our supporters! Special thanks to the event co-chairs Mary McQuillan and Laura Torchin and to everyone else who helped organize the event.
In more tennis news, Magee’s own wheelchair tennis team, Magee Freedom, will be playing in a tournament August 14-16 at Cherry Hill Health and Raquet Club.
There will be another celebration of Magee’s Art Therapy Program on Wednesday, October 7 at Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts called Art Heals. Art Heals is an opportunity for people to view Magee patient-created artwork, enjoy refreshments, meet some of the patient-artists, and learn more about art therapy at Magee.
