Comprehensive Outpatient Evaluation
A Specialty Program Addressing Workers’ Compensation Legacy Cases
To ensure the optimal level of physical well-being for the injured worker, Magee Rehabilitation offers the Comprehensive Outpatient Evaluation to the Workers Compensation Industry. This claims tool for long-term catastrophic injury cases provides a complete assessment of the injured worker’s current disability status and needs.
The Comprehensive Outpatient Evaluation program is led by Dr. Guy Fried, Chief Medical Officer at Magee Rehabilitation. A full medical examination of the injured worker is performed by a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team, as applicable, including:
- Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician specializing in Spinal Cord Injury and/or Traumatic Brain Injury
- Rehabilitation Nurse
- Physical Therapist
- Occupational Therapist
- Speech Therapist
- Clinical Dietitian
- Wound Care Specialist
- Psychologist/Neuropsychologist
The rehabilitation team produces a Comprehensive Outpatient Evaluation Report at the conclusion of the examination, which addresses the injured worker’s overall medical/rehabilitation status as well as any questions from the insurer. The Comprehensive Outpatient Evaluation provides current, up-to-date information on the injured worker’s needs, allowing the insurer to make cost-effective decisions to update each claim. It also includes detailed recommendations and a plan of care.
The Comprehensive Outpatient Evaluation program is currently accepting patients nationwide.
