Happy 15th Anniversary, Adam Taliaferro Foundation!

This year marks the 15th anniversary of the Adam Taliaferro Foundation. Former Penn State cornerback Adam Taliaferro was paralyzed while making a tackle in a game against Ohio State in 2000. After spinal-fusion surgery, doctors told Adam he would probably never walk again. But after three months of intensive therapy, tireless determination, and support from his family, Adam walked out of Magee Rehabilitation Hospital.

Since then, the Adam Taliaferro Foundation and Magee Rehabilitation Hospital have worked hand in hand to help support the lives of individuals with disabilities. The two make a great team in improving lives every day!

On Friday, April 10, 2015, The Adam Taliaferro Foundation’s 15th Anniversary Gala was held in celebration of this milestone. The Gala, held at The Rittenhouse Hotel, was a huge success with thanks to all who planned, organized, and attended. Many former Magee patients were part of the program including Adam Taliaferro, Lauren Scheveck singing the National Anthem, Greg Snyder and Joe Zinski who spoke about their experiences, and Dean Ragone, recipient of the Adam Taliaferro Foundation Award.
