Save the date! Magee’s 16th Annual Night of Champions is Friday, May 6

Mark your calendar for Friday, May 6, 2016: Magee’s  16th Annual Night of Champions at Penns Landing Caterers.

All proceeds benefit Magee patient programs like art therapy, horticultural therapy, the Patient Resource Center, ThinkFirst, Peer Mentor programs, pastoral care, the facility dog program, and wheelchair sports programs including basketball, rugby, racing, and tennis.

Night of Champions is an important fundraiser because these programs are not covered by insurance reimbursement: they are only possible through your support. Giving patients the opportunity to participate in these programs allows them to do something they have a passion for as well as giving them an outlet to express and enjoy themselves.

In addition to the silent auction and raffles, and live entertainment, awards will be presented to two former patients.

The first award is the Champion in the Community, and will be presented to former Magee patient, Dean Ragone. This award recognizes an individual or organization that has made a significant, positive contribution to Magee Rehabilitation Hospital and/or the lives of individuals in the Greater Philadelphia area. These individuals usually participate in adaptive sports.  The second award is the BELIEVE Award and will be presented to former Philadelphia Flyer Brian Propp. This award recognizes a former Magee patient who has made positive contributions to Magee Rehabilitation Hospital and/or the Greater Philadelphia community.

If you are unable to make it to Night of Champions, you can still be a part of the event by becoming a sponsor or donating an item or for our silent auction. You can also bid on auction items from your phone, tablet, or computer here.
