Moss-Magee Rehabilitation was the first CARF accredited brain injury program in the US.

Recovering from a brain injury is long, hard work. Building and maintaining strengths for independence is crucial. That's why Moss-Magee Rehabilitation offers a lifetime continuum of care that is a constant source of support and service. This approach ensures that Moss-Magee Rehabilitation provides the most comprehensive and cost-effective rehabilitation available. It is an approach built on decades of experience improving the functional outcomes of persons with brain injury.

At Moss-Magee Rehabilitation, clinicians from a variety of disciplines agree that the best rehabilitation occurs in the real world. So the brain injury team aims toward getting patients back to home, work, school and community settings safely, quickly and effectively. Each case is managed from initial enrollment through follow-up, always focusing on the patient's individualized functional goals.

Moss-Magee's comprehensive brain injury rehabilitation care system includes:

  • Acute Rehabilitation
    • Traumatic and non-traumatic brain injury
      • Post tumor resection rehabilitation
      • Dual diagnosis (SCI/TBI) rehabilitation
  • Day Hospital
  • Outpatient Services
  • Vocational Evaluation
  • Mild Brain Injury Program/ Concussion Program
  • Medical (Physiatric) Evaluations
  • Lifetime Follow-Up
  • Peer Mentor Program

The brain injury continuum at Moss-Magee Rehabilitation provides service in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Inpatient lengths of stay average 26 days. This efficiency is achieved by a cohesive team of clinicians led by a dedicated brain injury physiatrist. Treatments combine the latest in technology and pharmacology with proven, hands-on evaluations and therapies. Moss-Magee Rehabilitation maintains active relationships with other providers, such as vocational agencies and residential programs, to ensure effective and efficient referral to appropriate support programs.

Enrollment considerations for Moss-Magee's brain injury programs are liberal. The brain injury team welcomes case managers, rehabilitation specialists, discharge planners and family members for on-site tours and informational interviews. Moss-Magee Rehabilitation treats patients who are at least 14 years old, and has a specialized adolescent/ young adult coordinator who work with young people who are already involved in academic or vocational pursuits, or who need support to pursue those goals.
